2. Personal data we process
When you visit the website, technically necessary connection data may be processed. This can include your IP address, date and time of access, the requested page or file, transferred data volume, referrer URL, browser, operating system, device type, and access status.
When you contact us through the contact form or by email, we process the information you provide. This may include your name, email address, telephone number, subject, message, and any other information you submit voluntarily.
We also store your cookie-consent selection and your chosen website appearance, such as the light or dark color scheme.
3. Purposes of processing
We process personal data to provide the website, maintain its security and stability, detect errors and misuse, respond to inquiries, provide pre-contractual or contractual services, and comply with legal obligations.
Processing is carried out under the Swiss Data Protection Act. Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation applies, processing is based—depending on the circumstances—on your consent, pre-contractual or contractual measures, legal obligations, or our legitimate interest in a secure and functional online presence.
4. Hosting and server logs
We use a service provider in Germany for hosting and secure operation. Technically necessary access data, particularly the IP address, request time, and requested page, is processed in server logs and deleted when it is no longer required for operation, security, or legal obligations.
5. Content and images delivered through Sanity
Some website content and images are delivered through Sanity. When they are requested, technical access data may be transferred to Sanity in Norway and the United States.
6. Cookies, consent, and local storage
The website stores a technically necessary consent preference in the ‘cookie_consent’ cookie. This cookie records which categories you accepted or rejected and is generally valid for twelve months.
Your display preference is stored in your browser’s local storage under ‘template-theme’. This information remains on your device until you delete it through your browser settings.
We use Google Tag Manager to manage analytics and marketing tags centrally. The container and the non-essential tags managed through it load only after you consent to the ‘Analytics’ or ‘Marketing’ category. Google Tag Manager does not load without such consent.
The data processed after you consent depends on the tags enabled in the container. It may include technical connection and device data, pages visited, referrers, interactions, and your consent status. Google Tag Manager may also process aggregated diagnostics about tag firing and data in standard HTTP request logs.
You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future by deleting the ‘cookie_consent’ cookie in your browser and reloading the website or by contacting us. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
7. Contacting us
When you contact us, we use your information solely to process your inquiry, ask necessary follow-up questions, and initiate or perform a business relationship.
We retain inquiries for as long as necessary to process them and manage the business relationship. They are then deleted unless legal retention obligations, legitimate documentation interests, or ongoing claims require longer storage.
8. Recipients and international transfers
Personal data is available only to the people and service providers who need it for the purposes described above. This includes hosting and technical infrastructure providers, the content management system, Google, and any additional tag providers you have consented to.
The currently relevant recipient countries are Germany, Ireland, Norway, and the United States. Personal data is not sold. For transfers to countries without a recognized adequate level of data protection, we use the legally required safeguards or rely on an applicable legal exception.
9. AI assistant and appointment booking
When the AI assistant is enabled and you send a message, the chat content, selected language, and current page are sent through a server-side interface to OpenRouter and the selected model provider to generate a response and suitable next steps. Do not share passwords, payment data, or other particularly sensitive information in the chat.
A project inquiry prepared in the chat is transmitted only after you explicitly confirm it using the displayed send button. If you open appointment booking, the booking window is loaded from our self-hosted Cal.com instance at bookings.rahielstudios.ch. Appointment and contact details entered there are processed to arrange the appointment.
10. Your rights
Under applicable data-protection law, you may request information about the personal data we process. You may also request correction of inaccurate data, deletion or restriction of processing, and—where applicable—the release or transfer of your data. You may withdraw consent with effect for the future.
To exercise your rights, email info@rahielstudios.ch. We may request suitable proof of identity. You may also contact the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
11. Data security and changes
We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. However, completely risk-free data transmission over the internet cannot be guaranteed.
We may update this privacy policy if the website, the services used, or the legal situation changes. The version published on this page applies.
